Sehwag's father dies of heart attack

DELHI: Virender Sehwag's father Krishna Sehwag died of a bosom onslaught here
Tuesday, the cricketer's relatives
said. "He was not feeling well
because of low blood pressure level and was set on glucose in the morning time by a doctor. But he suddenly had a bosom onslaught at around 2.20 p.m. and died before be we
could name a physician again," Yoginder Chaudhary, a stopping point relation of Sehwag,
said. Krishna, 54, died just 12
days after he became grandfather. Sehwag was blessed with a babe male child October 19, a
day before his own
birthday. The Sehwag household
in Najafgarh, which was overjoyed with the baby's birth and the batsman's
inclusion in the Indian One-day International squad for the approaching series
against Pakistan, was suddenly plunged into
gloom. Krishna was cremated in
Najafgarh in the evening, Chaudhary
said. "He was a diabetic
patient, and would often kick of low refined sugar levels. He was hospitalised for
this ground a few times," he
added. Sehwag was scheduled to
visit Rashstrapati Bhawan Tuesday morning time along with his Twenty20 World
Championship-winning teammates for a response hosted for them by President
Pratibha Patil. But the
cricketer, who returned from Ahmedabad Monday after captaining Republic Of India Blue to the
Challenger Trophy statute title Lord'S Day night, skipped the response as he was running
temperature, the relative
said. Sehwag is scheduled to
lead Old Delhi against the Pakistani squad in a warm up limited overs fit at
Ferozeshah Kotla Friday, but now it is unsure whether he would be able to
play at all.
